What does 'Kaizen' mean?

The word "Kaizen" (改善) is a Japanese term that means "continuous improvement" or "change for better." It is a philosophy and practice that focuses on making incremental and continuous improvements in processes, products, or services.

The concept encourages small, ongoing improvements because not only is that more sustainable but also small improvements over time leads to massive results!

Kia ora! My name is Kim Baird and I am a transformational business coach, award-winning author, and speaker.

I have helped thousands of people to transform their lives and their businesses for the better. I have a passion for consciously creating the life that I desire and helping others to do the same... whatever that looks like for them.

I absolutely love business, because I believe that it can be a tremendous vehicle for good. We can create so much positive change in the world through conscious businesses AND we get to have more control about the life we can create.

My skills at transforming others have come from vast training, and my own unique experiences in life. Faced with many challenges from being born with a disability, nearly having to declare bankruptcy on multiple occasions, and being diagnosed with serious health conditions, I have discovered how to thrive in the face of adversity.

I’m the co-founder of ‘Amazing Business’ with my awesome husband Andrew, and together we have created this business from the ground up to help business owners and entrepreneurs thrive.

I have been in business for 23 years, so I have vast experience to back up my business coaching. I have navigated through recessions and booms in the business world. I've experienced many failures, and many great successes, so I know what works and what doesn't!

I’m also an accomplished author; as well as my first book ‘Gifts From the Darkness’ which won the Gowor International Publishing Author Award in 2015, I have also co-authored numerous books on business, life and personal development. I am regularly featured in the media including digital, radio and TV.

An adventurer at heart, I love to push myself out of my comfort zone. At the tender age of 14 I did my first skydive (certainly wasn’t my last!) and fell in love with getting the adrenaline hit, going on to have many fun filled adventures, including swimming with sharks with no cage!

I am also a passionate philanthropist devoted to helping numerous charities and causes, which comes back to my passion and dedication to making this world a better place for all. I support numerous charities and non-profit organisations both financially and with volunteering my personal time and experience.

The gold package includes:

An initial 3 hour session to plan out your business strategy and make an action plan moving forward
Fortnightly coaching sessions with Kim via Zoom.
Kaizen Weekly Video ~ a powerful weekly video (around 15mins) exclusively for Kaizen members to help you stay focused, motivated & give you strategies to grow your business each week
Accountability for following through on what you want to create
Another 3 hour planning session every 6 months that you are in the program.
Support emails as needed during the month
Up to 6 copywriting or marketing reviews in a month
Special member rate for additional sessions during the month of NZD $97 + GST. This is not necessary or required but occasionally members do want extra support.

This package is for those small businesses that are on a limited budget or that only need a bit of extra support and guidance to take their business to where they want to go.

An initial 2 hour session to plan out your business strategy and make an action plan moving forward
1 x 1 hour coaching session each month with Kim via Zoom.
Kaizen Weekly Video ~ a powerful weekly video (around 15mins) exclusively for Kaizen members to help you stay focused, motivated & give you strategies to grow your business each week

Accountability for following through on what you want to create
Another 2 hour planning session every 6 months that you are in the program.
Up to 4 support emails during the month

Do I have to be at a certain level in business to join?

You don’t need to have it all figured out — but Kaizen works best if you already have a business that’s generating income and you’re ready to commit to making changes that move it forward.

Do you work with businesses outside of New Zealand?

Absolutely I do. Sessions are always via. Zoom and so I can and do work with international businesses. The only tricky thing can be timezone conflicts where we can't find an appropriate time to do the sessions. If you are outside of NZ and you are ready to sign up, then email me here first to check that we can make the timezone difference work.
